claire i had some overwinter in my backgarden and didnt do anything with them, but i think youre supposed to fleece them in hard frosts?? i think?? not managed to kill the ones ive got tho and am sure i could spare a couple, im in b24 too not fussy about what theyre exchanged 4 as ive got not a lot else in the garden!!! oh the straw i think is good for when the plants are fruiting as it stops the water splashing on them and causing them to rot, but not having had mine long enough to get fruit i couldnt comment... fingers crossed i get some this year! iull be moving them down to my allotment when i get round to it so fingers crossed i dont kill them!! lou x

Hi ju6210, I'm all strawberry'd up but just wanted to say hello and that I am also in B45. Most people so far seem to be North Birmingham so nice to find you're so nearby
