My mother in law is a dab hand as the old spiderplant tub filling scheme lolol if it has a seed init she will stick in in the front windowsill plant pot and let it grow problem is at the ripe old age of 74 she never can tell me what she has put in there so here goes
Very glossy green leaves, rub them smells of lemony citrusy one stem and few big oval to point leaves
i believe it to be a satsuma mandaring or fruit obviously it was edible to start with
So it is something she has eaten then planted the seed there are 4 exactly the same which have come up over time. I have been reading that if it is infact satsuma then it wont fruit as they are grafted not seed grown etc is this true?
Other thing i read was from one seed it will send up 3 one main 2 inposters etc one fruiter the other like clones lol sounded tooo technical
So any advice i would appreciate it before i spent the next few years cultivating a dud lol l She once grew a cape goosberry from one i gave her to eat lol

Hi! I feel sure you're right about it being a citrus - probably from an orange pip or something similar. I've grown them myself and your description fits. Mine never fruited but they got quite tall (about 12" - 18" high in pots) with woody stems. I never saw any signs of fruit although after a couple of years' growth they produced little white flowers. Hope this helps! Regards, Ann
